"Bon soir mes amis! Sorry I'm late" Pip said as he strolled into the dining room and took a seat at the table. He made an effort today to actually shave and dab on some of his more expensive cologne, standing in front of his wardrobe and wondering what color dress shirt Seras would like on him caused him to be tardy however. He was trying to impress a certain fair haired vampire that hasn't shown up yet after all ...

Jack winked. "and shortly it will be, Sir Integral" he got up from his hair then headed to the door that lead out side. and pulled out a Newport and his Zippo, he let the cigarette settle on his lips then lit his cigarette. He took a 20 second dragged then exhaled the smoke. Jack was free for a bit to think about whatever was on his mind.

"A writer?" Tosca said with interest. "Ive never met such a young one before. That book sounds quite interesting, you should let me read it if you finish it. "I'm Tosca and like alot of people here im a hunter." Tosca watched Jack go for his cigarette, wandering what was on his mind. She half fancied a cigarette herself but she was new here and couldnt just leave a dinner party like this.

Prudence smiled. "I'm pretty sure my mother has sonograms of me writing haiku on the inside of her womb. I've been a literary geek my whole life. I've had one book published, and of course it sold abysmally. Apparently nobody wants to read post-modern stream-of-consciousness. But, people do want to read about vampires! And I'm still under contract, lucky for me." She fidgeted with one of the forks in front of her before continuing. "Naturally, I'll be handing out advance copies to the wonderful people here who make it possible. ...And then maybe taking them away when they're halfway finished and telling them to go out and buy it, so maybe I can afford a house this nice someday." She looked around at the lavish room. "I mean, my goodness."

"That sounds like a good idea, most people can't read half a book and not read the rest," Tosca assured. "House like this would cost millions, if you did manage to get it that would be pretty impressive."

Seras stumbled through the door in a short black dress, that was frilled out at the end like a limp tutu and wearing very high black pumps (That she just wasn't quite used to). Being very shaky on her heels, she turned to Integra and did the best she could to bow. "I'm sorry I'm late everybody! I hope I am not overdressed... It's just..." She turned away a bit "I never get to wear fancy clothes like this anymore..." Seras smiled. "I hope its not too much."

Pip turned his head towards the door as soon as he heard Seras' voice and was quite taken back when he saw her wearing that sexy little number ... After picking his jaw up from the ground and mentally scolding himself for drooling over her like she was a piece of steak, he quickly got up and ran to her side and offered her his arm. "Bonsoir mon chere! May I say you look ravishing tonight? I saved you a seat next to me and if you don't mind I would love for you to be in my company for the rest of the night?"

"Oh Uhmm..." She paused remembering all the devious things he had pulled off before, and didn't want any of it to happen again. "Alright Pip, just... no funny business. Got it?" She then strolled over to where him and a few others were seated and looked at their empty chairs. 'Why do I have a bad feeling about this?' She then shrugged it off and waited for him to come back over.

Jack looked inside and glanced at everyone including the one girl that just came in name Sears Victoria. Jack slightly glanced at Tosca. She really did look good in the dress and yet he couldn't just wonder why he just ask her out to a dinner and movie or something. He took another 20 second drag of his cigarette. He looked back and looked up in the sky, and thought countless of times that he made it this far and still praised. he finished the last of his cigarette and put it out. He entered back in and took his seat, letting out a big sigh and pushed his thoughts back to his head. "I needed that cigarette"

Integral rests her chin on her hands and evesdrops on Prudence and Tosca. It slightly worried her than Prudence was thinking of moving out someday. ::Prudence is here for three reasons,:: She tells herself. ::One, to be safe. Two, to be my one-and-only friend. And three...because she's writing a novel...If she let some important information slip into her book, combined with her moving out could result in The Vampire Lestat all over again.:: She sighs and tries to shake the thought out of her head. ::The thing about Lestat is that he's not real, and he was a very powerful vampire...Prudence, however, is very real, and powerful though she may be in her own silly little way...She could never stand up to a vampire attack.:: She glances at Alucard and then back to Prudence. Well... Maybe 'slightly worried' is an understatement...

Balancing the tray of appetizers in one hand and a carafe of wine in the other, Walter used his hip to nudge open the swinging doors of the kitchen. After serving the last plate he made his way over to his master and picked up her glass by the flume and filled it to the brim with wine. "Sir Integral, I will be back shortly with the entrees and if I do remember correctly you tend to like your food cooked medium well, am I correct?"

Integral smirks at Walter. I'll play your game, Butler... "No, Walter, you /know/ better. I like everything cooked to a crisp, and drowned in ." She smiles. As if Walter would ever forget her prefrences...

Prudence holds a hand up in the air and is not sure why. "Ah, Walter," she says in her practiced restaurant 'please don't spit in my food' voice, "might I request my own meat--" she stops herself from using the descriptor 'bloody' around this crowd, "Erm, rare-ish, please?" She looks around a bit. "Father. American. He made the steaks rare. I liked them. Don't judge me," she smiles.

"Of course Ms. Prudence, I shall cook it to your precise preference!" Turning to look at his master, Walter raised an eyebrow. Oh really now my lady?" Walter said as a corner of mouth tugged into a smile. "If I dare say so myself ... my master has always enjoyed her food cooked to near perfection but requests it to still retain its vivacity as if she was having it a la tartare ... like her personality might I add?"
